Threshold’s Berks Personnel Network gave a presentation during Service Access and Management, Inc. (SAM)‘s Employment Expo this past Monday. Their breakout session focused on how social media impacts employment, which is incredibly useful information in our increasingly connected world (and not just for people with disabilities). Most people forget that their online presence is both easily accessible and visible, particularly to future employers.
Here’s a good rule of thumb: ask yourself if you’d be comfortable with a future boss seeing the content of a post before you hit publish. If the answer to the question is “No,” don’t post it!
