What is the first step to secure services from Threshold?
Persons may self-refer to Threshold for services. Referrals may also be made by support coordinators, case managers or other human services professionals.

How is payment made for services at Threshold?
Threshold accepts payments from a variety of sources. Most often funding is secured through Medicaid, state and county funds, and the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.
What type of employment supports do you have?
Threshold provides a range of competitive integrated employment and training supports. Employment supports are offered in both Mental Health and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities departments.
How long will Threshold provide services for me or my family member?
Threshold offers a range and variety of supports. Funding sources may dictate the length or scope of the service. Threshold will provide ongoing supports as long as the persons’ needs to match the scope of the service. When appropriate, Threshold will make referrals for new or additional supports to match the needs of the individual.
Will Threshold find employees for my place of business?
Berks Personnel Network (BPN), a department of Threshold, matches individuals with disabilities and local competitive, employment opportunities. BPN is able to provide coaching to train and maintain the employee successfully in their role.

Threshold will provide guidance and support to employers to promote the successful employment of people with disabilities. Threshold seeks out subcontract, co-packaging, and rework projects from manufacturing and businesses to provide training experience for the people we support. We offer businesses and industry a variety of services, performed in a timely manner at a reasonable price.
What kind of mental health services does Threshold provide?
The Mental Health Division at Threshold embraces the recovery philosophy in all of its services. We support recovery by assisting individuals in identifying and addressing difficulties in their life. Threshold believes in the use of natural supports and integration into the community.
Our support teams will help individuals advocate for their needs and develop goals they would like to accomplish. These goals could be related to mental health treatment, housing, vocational, budgeting, establishing social networks and wellness plans and many other requests. Threshold believes that if we assist individuals in finding supports, pursuing personal interests and social networks then mental health recovery is possible.

What type of residential services does Threshold offer?
Our Intellectual & Developmental Disability Services and Residential Services are provided in a variety of physical locations with a focus on individual preferences and support needs of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. An outcomes model is used to support individuals to attain their maximum potential. Assistance is provided to navigate the health care delivery system including scheduling, billing, and 24/7 staff support.

What types of vocational and employment services does Threshold offer?
Threshold offers a range of Pre-Vocational and Employment services rendered by Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) certified Vocational Specialists and Employment Specialists. Services offered include introductory-level supports in a structured setting to fully integrated support to achieve and maintain competitive, integrated employment. The offices of Berks Personnel Network are open Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Appointments are suggested.
